Accessibility and accommodations
Our accessibility commitment for the site and the certification exam, and how to request extended time.

Accessibility statement
DPCert aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, on the site and in the certification exam.
- Every change to the site goes through automatic checks with axe, against WCAG 2.1 A and AA criteria, on the public pages and in the certification exam flow.
- The certification exam works with a keyboard and a screen reader. The timer does not announce itself every second, so it does not interrupt reading the questions.
- The assistive technology you need, such as a screen reader, magnification or high contrast, is allowed during the exam. The ban on AI covers assistants that answer for you, not accessibility.
Known limitations
The PDF certificate is not yet a tagged document for screen readers. The public verification page shows the same information as accessible text.
Accommodation policy: extended time
Anyone with a disability or health condition that affects their reading or response time can request 25% more on the certification exam duration. The questions, the pass mark and the integrity rules stay the same; only the time changes.
- In your account: in Certification exams, choose "25% more" on the voucher while it has not been used, and tick the declaration that you need extended time.
- The request is stored on the voucher, with the date of the declaration, and applied when the certification exam opens: the clock starts with the extra time.
- We do not ask for a medical report; the declaration is enough. We keep only the request and its date, never the condition behind it, and use that record only to apply the extra time (privacy policy).
